When it comes to sustainable living, every choice counts. At Pulpcraft, we believe that even the simplest items, like a plate or a bowl, can become powerful tools for environmental change. As a leading bagasse tableware manufacturer and wholesaler in India, our mission is to make eco-friendly, compostable products accessible to food businesses, retailers, event planners, and everyday consumers across the country.

What Is Bagasse Tableware?

Bagasse is the fibrous residue left behind after extracting juice from sugarcane. Rather than letting this agricultural by-product go to waste or be burned, we turn it into strong, functional, and fully compostable disposable tableware.

Quality and certifications

Pulpcraft production is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000 and ISO 45001, with SGS testing, Sedex membership and a BRCGS Packaging Materials certificate (Grade A). For a buyer, that means the plates your customers eat from are made to a documented food-safety standard, and the paperwork exists when a hotel chain, export customer or auditor asks for it.

If you are comparing suppliers, ask each one for current certificates and a food-contact test report. Our guide to red flags when buying bagasse plates covers what else to check.

Where we make it

Our factory is at Plot No. 165, Kurari, Chow Road, Durgauti, Kaimur, Bihar, and our office is in Jawahar Nagar Extension, Bhelupur, Varanasi. Making the tableware ourselves means we control the moulding, finishing and packing, rather than reselling stock bought from someone else.

How bulk and wholesale orders work

  1. Tell us what you need. Share the products, approximate monthly quantity and delivery city.
  2. Get a quote. We send pricing for your quantities along with the minimum order and lead time for each item.
  3. Test samples. Load them with your own hot and oily food before you commit.
  4. Place the order. We confirm the dispatch date and packing.
  5. Reorder on a schedule. Regular buyers such as cloud kitchens and caterers usually set a monthly or seasonal reorder so stock never runs out at a busy time.

Caterers and resellers can read more about buying disposable plates wholesale and why bulk buyers choose Pulpcraft.

Supplying buyers outside India

We export bagasse tableware from India to importers, distributors and foodservice businesses abroad. Country pages cover shipping and compliance for the USA, UK, UAE and other markets, and our guide on how to import bagasse tableware from India walks through the process step by step.

How to choose a bagasse tableware manufacturer in India

  • Manufacturer, not trader. Ask where the factory is. A trader cannot control quality or lead times.
  • Certificates. ISO 22000 or BRCGS for food safety, and a food-contact test report from a recognised lab.
  • No plastic lining. Bagasse should be moulded fibre throughout. A shiny inner layer usually means plastic.
  • Load test. Fill a sample with hot dal or curry and hold it for ten minutes. It should stay rigid and not leak.
  • Consistent sizing. Plates from different batches should stack and match, especially if you use lids or sleeves.
  • Range. One supplier for plates, bowls and trays keeps ordering and invoicing simple.

Frequently asked questions

Is Pulpcraft a manufacturer or a trader?

A manufacturer. Pulpcraft moulds its bagasse plates, bowls and trays at its own factory in Kaimur, Bihar, and sells direct to businesses at wholesale rates.

Do you supply small businesses or only large buyers?

Both. Restaurants, caterers and shops order alongside distributors and export buyers. Minimum quantities depend on the product, and we confirm them with your quote.

Can I get samples before placing a bulk order?

Yes. Ask for samples of the sizes you plan to use and test them with your own hot and oily dishes before you commit to a full order.

Do you export bagasse tableware?

Yes. We supply buyers in the USA, UK, UAE, Europe, Australia and Southeast Asia. See the export pages for country-specific details.
